Bedingfeld Park provides accommodation for the older people who have been approved for residential care or respite care by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT)
The facility has individual suites, comprising a bedroom with ensuite bathroom, suitable for residents with low care, high care and palliative care needs. Nearly all suites have direct access to garden areas.
Residents can age in place and remain at Bedingfeld Park as their care needs change.
Bedingfeld Park has a memory support (Wallace Wing) for residents with dementia or behavioural needs. There are 25 suites, comprising a bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The Wallace Wing has its own lounge area, dining room and delightful secure garden courtyard.
Bedingfeld Park can provide short-term respite care for people who are living in the community and cared for by family and friends. An assessment for eligibility by the Aged Care Assessment Team is required. The respite room can be booked in advance to assist family members to take a break from their caring responsibilities.
Bedingfeld continues to provide quality care to the older people of the Peel Region.

Dementia Unit

These facilities have a fully secure dementia care wing exclusively and specifically for people with dementia or similar behavioral related conditions. Our highly qualified team has extensive experience in providing specialised care to individuals suffering from dementia and their families who may be struggling to provide their loved one with care they need. We are constantly reviewing our dementia wing to ensure that our residents are able to regain some of their independence in a safe and secure environment.
Respite care
These services are designed to give carers a break knowing that in their absence, their loved ones will still receive the attention and support they need. A caregiver is an especially important role, it is imperative that carers take some time to recharge, relax and nurture their own health and personal wellbeing. Our respite residents enjoy the same level of care and access to many of the services offered to our permanent residents.
Palliative care program
The facility provides palliative care and actively encourages enquiries from people who require palliative care. The palliative care program provides pain relief, management of symptoms, counselling and support to ensure the best possible quality of life is provided with respect and dignity. We understand that family members want to be involved in their loved one’s care and we work hard to ensure that families are consulted and kept up to date.
